Vizio 65” Class 4k Ultra Hd (2160p) Hdr Smart Led Tv (d65x-g4)

LED TVs are becoming more and more common as the tech advances. They offer great visibility without the cost of a full-size LCD TV. The smaller size makes it easier to place it in any room, making it an affordable upgrade.

The downside is that they do not have the standard distance between pixels that a larger LCD does. This means that some details may not be visible on a LED TV when you increase the resolution. However, due to their smaller size, LED TVs are usually better suited for bedroom or closhold settings where noise and sight are important.

The best thing about LED TVs is that they are very cheap to purchase and install.

HDR technology

With ultra-high-definition (4k) and full-HD (1080p) television sets becoming more common, now is the time to invest in one. While 4k requires a separate set top box, a 1080p set can be downsized to a less expensive 4k set if it is needed.

No matter what size TV you have, there must be at least one HDMI port! Most modern sets have at least that many ports available. If not, look for discounts on additional ports!

Smart TV features

The smart TV features you will be able to connect your phone or computer to. These features include apps and services you can use on the TV, as well as notifications and alerts when things change.

Apps You Can Use On The TV: There are tons of apps for your smart TV that you can use. Some of these apps include: Netflix, Hulu, Fandango Now, YouTube, Skype, and many more.

Apps You Can Use With Your Phone or Computer: It is very rare that the television itself has an app; most apps are designed for your phone or computer.

Decent sound quality

Compared to other televisions in this class, the D65x-G4 offers decent sound quality. The bass is acceptable and does not disappear, which is nice.

The treble is also not shrill and annoying like on some televisions. It does not have a rich or strong sound like you would find on speakers, but it is decent enough for most people.

Overall, this TV sounds good for the price and size. You will not get very good quality sound if you are loud or want to hear things over the television, but as a bedroom speaker, you may be fine with that!

For the price, this TV has a decent amount of resolution and display size, making it a good enough investment for someone looking into 4k Ultra HD television.

Limited viewing angle

If you are going to be watching the TV at an angle, then you need to be aware of the angle you want to take the TV at. If you want a wider viewing angle than the one provided, then you need to purchase a wall mount or stand.

The 65” model has a 57-87 degree range, which is pretty narrow. If you want a wider range, then buy a larger TV. You can also buy stoods and wall mounts if you do not have a good setup for your viewing space.

Poor viewing angle properties make this tv limited in users who will have trouble seeing outside lights or patterns on objects due to bad viewing angles.

No Google Chromecast

Most televisors nowadays have a integrated wireless streaming device called a Chromecast. This device can stream video and audio to a television using a simple USB dongle.

Unfortunately, the Chromecast is not compatible with televisions that do not have a built-in dongle for streaming. Most do!

Instead, you must use a traditional TV antenna to receive content via the Chromecast. This is not an exact solution as you still need a computer or phone nearby to receive the content, but it is one way to about it.

The other option is to use an Apple TV as the media source.

Slow interface

The 65-inch Class 4k Ultra HD smart tv doesn’t have an easy way to connect to a smartphone or computer. You must use a vizio app on your phone or computer to control the television.

Unfortunately, this makes it more difficult to access content via a smartphone or computer. You have to download the vizio app, open it, and then select the television to control.

Once you do that, you can go into your settings and adjust your television settings such as how much color temperature you want, what refresh rate you want, and which tuner you want.

Not smart hub compatible

If you are looking to connect your TV to a smart tv, this is a big drawback. The vizio d65x-g4 does not have the ability to integrate with a tv’s smart hub. This can be problematic when trying to access your televisions services such as netflix and spotify.

Luckily, Vizio has released a newer model that does have this capability called the vz-p6z- flagship 6 series 6 inch led television with p6 Processor (64bit). This model does not have the same stand out feature as the d65x-g4 but still a great television!

Being unable to connect it to a smart tv or use it with an audio device may be difficult for some.

Poor remote design

The D65x-G4 is an impressive tv for its price. It has a high resolution of 4k (2160p) and Ultra-HD (HD+) display. Its menu system is also very intuitive.

You can use the remote as a touchscreen, allowing you to change settings and content without having to remove the tv stand. This is a nice feature!

The remote features 3 buttons on the top, plus a function button below that. The function button changes between current function, previous function, and off depending on which button you press.

This remote is fairly comfortable to use, but it would be nice if there was an included wrist band or band clip to keep tight while changing settings or with content.
