The iPhone Xr is a great phone, however, one of the biggest complaints is the lack of a battery percentage display. While this may not seem like a big deal, it is a feature that many people appreciate on their phones.
Many apps such as Battery Doctor and Battery Life allow you to see how much battery you have left in percentages.
To show the battery percentage on your iPhone Xr, you must first go to the Settings app. There, you will find a menu called Battery.
Within this menu, you can choose how you would like to see your battery information. You can choose between Battery Percentage, Battery Level, or Turn Off Background App Refresh.
To show the battery percentage, select Battery and then Select Battery again. Here, you can choose between Show Percentage and Show Battery Level.
Show Percentage will display a number ranging from 1-100% and Show Battery Level will display 1 of 2 Low, Half Full, 3/4 Full, Almost Full, Full’. Both of these options show the same information but in different ways.
To keep your phone from going to sleep while it is charging, turn on ‘Turn Off Background App Refresh’. This will keep your apps from updating or working while your phone is plugged in.
Under “Battery Health”, toggle the button to On (green)
Under “Battery Health”, you will find a new feature with iOS 12 called Battery Health. This feature shows you the battery health of your device, which includes the battery capacity and its stability.
Battery capacity shows how much juice your phone’s battery can hold. As time goes by, the battery loses some of its capacity, which means it can’t hold as much power. This is normal and doesn’t mean your phone’s battery is defective.
Stability shows whether your device can maintain a consistent level of performance while the battery is charged to full capacity. If there are sudden drops in performance, then your device needs to be replaced.
You can choose to leave this feature on or off depending on if you believe it is trustworthy or not.
Go to Display & Light>Battery Percentage
In the Settings app, you can choose to show the battery percentage in the top-right corner of the screen. This can be in either Device Battery or Charging Battery mode.
Device Battery mode shows you how much battery is left in your device, no matter what you are doing. Charging Battery mode only shows you how much battery is left while you are charging your phone.
By default, Apple sets this to Off so that you do not constantly look at how much battery is left. It is up to you whether or not to turn this feature on!
If you want to show the battery percentage on your iPhone XR, then all you have to do is go to the Display & Light section in Settings and toggle the Battery Percentage switch on.
Toggle the button to On (green)
Now that the toggle is turned on, you can show the battery percentage on your iPhone Xr. The last step is to check your phone and make sure the percentage is correct!
In order to show the battery percentage on your phone, you had to turn on the Battery Percentage feature. This lets you see how much charge your phone has via its screen, which is much more convenient than assuming it has zero charge.
It is easy to turn this feature off if you do not like seeing the battery level, so do not worry about that. Another thing to remember is that this only shows the percentage if your phone is at full charge.
Restart your device
If your phone is acting up and not performing at its normal speed or not fully functioning, try restarting your device.
This can be done by holding down the power button for a couple seconds until it shuts down, then restarting it by pressing the power button again.
If you have a hard case on your phone, you can also try taking off the case and pressing the power button for about thirty seconds to a minute until it turns off and then back on. This will help reset any stuck buttons or sensors that may be interfering with the phone.
If these do not work, then you may want to look into getting a new phone or calling Apple Support to troubleshoot the issue with you.
Open Settings > Display & Color > Battery Percentage
Next, you will need to open the Settings app and go to the Display & Color section. In this section, you will find the Battery Percentage option. Tapping this will take you to a new screen where you can adjust the placement of the battery percentage. You can choose between placing it in the upper left corner, upper right corner, or in the bottom left corner of the battery icon.
If you choose one of the corners, then you will have to re-adjust the placement because it will be on top of another icon. The only way to remove that is by changing your battery icon which is a little complicated.
However, if you choose the bottom left corner option then there is no problem as there is enough space for both icons.
) Toggle the switch to On (green)
Now that the feature is enabled, you can now see your battery in the upper-right corner of your screen. The battery icon also shows how much battery you have left, as well as a little lightning bolt next to it.
When it is charging, it will also show the percentage of charge it has received. This is very helpful so you know when it is fully charged!
This feature can be turned on or off, so if you do not like seeing the battery percentage or think it is a waste of space, then turn it off! It is your phone, and you should make what features you like on it.
If you want to keep this feature on your phone, then make sure to keep checking back for updates that may help improve the appearance or accuracy of the icon.
