Go to pinned tweets
Pinning a tweet means you will keep it at the top of your timeline. You can pin a tweet from your own account or someone else’s account. To do this, you need to have an account yourself and need to have logged in on the app.

Find the tweet you want to pin
Pining a tweet requires you to find or create a tweet you want to pin. You can do this by going to the Twitter app, searching for a username or hashtag, or browsing your own timeline.
Once you find a tweet you like, tap the dialogue bubble icon on the top right of the post. This brings you to the full tweet where you can read it and take screenshots if needed.
Take a screenshot of the tweet if needed then go to your camera and use the screenshot button. This saves it onto your phone so you can use it later.
You can also just take a picture of the phone screen if needed. Make sure it is clear and legible so you do not have to re-do it.

Now, let’s get into the nitty-gritty. To pin a tweet, you have to hold down the tweet for several seconds. This is where many people make the mistake.
You have to hold down the tweet for several seconds, which can be nerve-wracking if you are already running late for work!
Many people reported that they tried to pin a tweet on their iPhone but it would not let them. Most thought it was a bug, but it was actually because they did not hold down the tweet for enough time.
However, there is another step that many people do not realize until after the fact. After you have held down the tweet, you have to then tap the pin icon. If you do not do this, then you will not be able to pin the tweet!
Hopefully these tips helped you successfully pin that important Twitter post and get to work on time.
Choose “pin tweet”
Once you have selected the tweet you want to pin, click the pin tweet button. This is located directly below the tweet on the mobile app.
Once you click this button, it will take you to the pin tweet page. Here, you can choose to edit the title of the tweet or the account it is from before pinning it.
If you choose to edit the title, make sure it is short enough so it does not not wrap onto a new line when pinned!
Once satisfied, click “pin” and you are done! Your followers will now be able to see this specific tweet at the top of their feed, no matter what time of day it is viewed.
Select where you want to pin it
Now that you have selected the tweet you want to pin, it is time to select where you want to pin it. You can choose your profile, a profile of one of your accounts, or your timeline.
If you choose your profile, then the pinned tweet will be at the top of your account and stay there. All of your tweets will be in chronological order below it.
If you choose a profile of one of your accounts, then the pinned tweet will be at the top of that account and stay there. All of the tweets on that account will be in chronological order below it.
If you choose your timeline, then the pinned tweet will be at the top of your timeline and stay there. All of the tweets on your profile will be in chronological order below it.
Once again, make sure it is an interesting and informative tweet! You do not want to give people a false impression about who you are based on an old pinned tweet.
Confirm your choice
Once you enter the required information, you will be asked to confirm your choice. Make sure the account you intended to pin from is selected as the source and that the tweet is correct before confirming!
If you made an error in typing the tweet or selecting the correct account, you can go back and change this by tapping on the tweet itself. This is also where you can edit your caption if needed.
Once pinned, no one else can change it- so make sure it is perfect! You can unpin it at any time if you decide you do not want it there anymore.
It is really cool how easy it is to pin a tweet and how long it stays up- even if you do not log back into your account! It will stay until someone deletes it, which only an admin of the account can do.
You can unpin a tweet using the same process
Once you have pinned a tweet, you can unpin it at any time. You can do this by going to your profile page, clicking the pin icon next to the tweet, and then tapping the Unpin from Profile button.
That’s it! You have now learned how to pin and unpin a tweet on your iPhone. You can return to your profile at any time to re-pin tweets you like.
If you have an Android device, this is slightly different. You cannot pin a tweet directly from the Twitter app, but you can do it from the web version.
Again, you must go to your profile page, click the pin icon next to the tweet, and then click the Pin Tweet button. Then confirm that you would like to pin this tweet to your profile.
